All people wishing to become registered assessors with QCTO have to complete this course. This is an in-depth course for hard working candidates wanting to enter the professional industry of training and development as assessors. Our comprehensive course will provide you with all the necessary skills and understanding for a successful career in Assessment. This five-day workshop helps candidates prepare their rigorous portfolio of evidence whilst in class. Educators, in addition to facilitating learning, need to be competent assessors to understand how effective they have been in transferring learning. This course goes beyond understanding how to assess in line with this skills programme. We furthermore introduce learners to the practical methods of developing assessment instruments, since this is required of assessors in their work contexts.
This course is designed to prepare you for a variety of challenges faced when dealing with adult education. Knowing how to handle difficult situations objectively and with tact is as important as being knowledgeable about the training and development of workplace skills. The course is very practical and allows you time to internalise your learning through activities, a POE and a final integrated summative assessment.
