Meriting unemployed youth free job readiness programme graduations 2019

Meriting Youth Development, a registered NPO together with Imsimbi Training are providing 250 bursaries a year to unemployed black youth from underprivileged backgrounds. We are offering the Business Administration Services L4 qualification and the Project Management L5 qualification for unemployed black youth as part of an initiative to provide free training courses to unemployed youth who cannot afford to pay for the courses.

These courses are designed for unemployed youth wishing to receive job readiness skills and to help them gain entry into the workplace. Each one is presented as a two-month programme where unemployed youth learn a number of practical work-based skills with the intention of helping them gain employment after the two-month course.

We believe these courses go a long way in helping the young people that attend become ready to enter the world of work. Meriting also assists the young people in finding them jobs, by placing them with companies or organizations. We have trained over 900 youths in this programme thus far since 2013. Over 450 youth have been placed in jobs or found jobs.
