FULL PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION ACT (PoPIA) CONSENT DOCUMENT

- Full Name
- Identity/Passport Number
- Contact details (phone number, email address, physical address)
- Educational background and qualifications
- Assessment results and training records
3. Purpose of Data Collection

- Registration for training, assessments, and certification programs.
- Creation of user accounts on Imsimbi Training’s online system, DB LMIS, and EDX.
- Verification of qualifications and identity for SETA/QCTO accreditation.
- Communication regarding course materials, assessments, feedback, and results.
- Submitting learner details to accreditation bodies (Services SETA, QCTO, and other SETAs), assessors, and moderators for certification purposes.
- Compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- In addition to training, assessment, and accreditation purposes, personal data collected may also be used for online platform access, technical support, and compliance with regulatory and academic record-keeping policies.
4. Data Protection & Security
Imsimbi Training implements strict security measures to protect personal data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. We:
- Restrict data access to authorized personnel only.
- Store data securely using encrypted databases and firewalls.
- Regularly update security measures to prevent cyber threats.
5. Data Sharing & Retention
- Who We Share Data With: Your data will only be shared with relevant accreditation bodies, assessors, and moderators as required for certification.
- Retention Policy: Your personal information will be stored only for as long as necessary for certification, regulatory compliance, and academic record-keeping.
- Cross-Border Data Transfers: Where necessary, personal data may be processed outside South Africa or the European Economic Area (EEA). Imsimbi Training ensures that appropriate safeguards, in compliance with both PoPIA and GDPR, are in place for such transfers.
6. Your Rights Under PoPIA
You have the right to:

✅ Correct or update inaccurate information.
✅ Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal and regulatory constraints).
✅ Withdraw consent for receiving training-related communications.
✅ Lodge a complaint if you believe your data is being misused.

7. Consent & Acknowledgment
By enrolling with Imsimbi Training, you consent to:
✅ The collection, processing, and storage of your personal information for training, assessment, and certification purposes.
✅ The sharing of your details with accreditation bodies (Services SETA, QCTO, and other SETAs), assessors, and moderators.
✅ The creation of a user account using your ID number or email address.
✅ Receiving course-related communications via WhatsApp, email, or SMS.
✅ The use of your personal data for authentication and access to Imsimbi Training’s online system, DB LMIS, and EDX.
✅ The retention and processing of your personal data in compliance with the Imsimbi eLearning System Terms and Conditions.
✅ The adherence to data privacy policies outlined in IMSIMBI TRAINING eLearning SYSTEM Terms and Conditions (Version 1.1, February 2025), available at: https://app.imsimbi-online.co.za/auth/home.
✅ By enrolling with Imsimbi Training, you also acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in the IMSIMBI TRAINING eLearning System Terms and Conditions (Version 1.1, February 2025). These terms govern the use of Imsimbi’s online learning platform, including account registration, data protection, and privacy rights. 8. Changes to Terms
Imsimbi Training reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated through the Platform, and continued use of the Platform will be considered acceptance of the updated Terms.
